I believe very heavily that a program should be individualized to a specific athlete. I use any tools in my toolbox to safely and effectively help an athlete to increase their strength, power, resistance to injury, and physical preparedness. I typically use olympic lifting variations and powerlifting type barbell movements as well as a plethora of assistance lifts once a solid foundation has been laid and an athlete can handle their body weight efficiently.
