This is where defensive backs come to compete.

The DB Performance Group is an advanced developmental program for athletes ages 11–14 in grades 6–8 who already understand the basic movements and responsibilities of the position. Athletes should have previous football, 7-on-7, or defensive back training experience.

We will sharpen press-man technique, off-man coverage, footwork, hip transitions, leverage, route recognition, recovery mechanics, ball skills, and football IQ. Athletes will be placed in competitive situations that challenge them to communicate, make decisions, respond to coaching, and execute their technique under pressure.

Every detail matters. Where are your eyes? Are you controlling your leverage? Can you recognize the route before it develops? Can you recover when you lose position and still finish the play?

This is not a group where athletes simply run through drills. I will teach them how to understand the position, correct mistakes, compete with confidence, and turn technique into production on the field.

The standard will be high, the coaching will be detailed, and the energy will be intense. Athletes should arrive ready to work, learn, compete, and leave better than they came.

This group is limited to eight athletes so every defensive back receives meaningful repetitions, individual corrections, and opportunities to compete.
