What is this training camp?
Coach Dunte is Helping Everyone Run Over Hurdles!
4 hours of 100/110 hurdles technique instruction & speed training...for the price of a single 45-minute private session!
Who is HERO Hurdles meant for?
Hurdles are for the bold ones!
If you're preparing to run high school sprint hurdles (9th - 12th grade) and have competed in at least one hurdle race before, come meet and train with some of your peers!
What will I get from HERO Hurdles camp?
Learn:
- cut step, takeoff, and technique over the hurdle
- 8-step approach from blocks
- 3-step rhythm between hurdles
- mechanics & drills for better sprinting
- what drills, sprints, and stretches to do at every practice to get faster
- what drills, sprints, and strength work are a waste of your time!
Is this only for sprint hurdlers or do 300/400 hurdlers benefit too?
Every hurdler benefits from being smooth and fast in the sprint race, so long hurdlers will learn a lot in HERO Hurdles camp about efficiency. When you takeoff well and clear the hurdle well - and when you know how to train to get faster - you'll run a better long hurdle race too!
Anything else to know?
There will be a 10x10 popup tent for some shade, plenty of sunscreen, and a few jugs of water to refill with, but you have to bring:
- training flats (normal shoes)
- spikes
- water bottle
- hat/sunglasses/sun shirts/etc
- folding chair or picnic blanket or beach towel to sit on
- notebook & pen/pencil
