Event Description:

Sprints, hurdles, and horizontal jumps speed & technical development - Broomfield edition!

Coach Dunte of SHIFT Speed Coaching will personally lead this session every other week through fall and winter of 2025. Join for a comprehensive Speed Drill Warmup, timed sprints, technical training for acceleration and takeoffs, and guidance about using strength training, nutrition, and lifestyle habits to be a better sprints competitor.

Expect measurable progress every practice PLUS more consistent technique in your indoor meets.

NOTE: we do not work block starts during these sessions! If you need block technique work, see me 1-on-1.

Who is this program for?

Masters and high school track & field athletes in these events: 60, 100, 200, 400; 60H, 100H, 110H, 300H; LJ, TJ.

Athletes from other sports are welcome to join, but this session is focused on execution in track & field, so it's on you to determine how to transfer the specialized skills to your game!

Will this program work if I don't make every session?

Depends. If you use the Speed Drill Warmup 2-3 times per week, you'll get faster. If you practice the drills you learn independently and continue to refine your competitive technique, you'll at least have consistently near-PR marks on the track. But you make the greatest gains from attending multiple practices.

What do I need to participate?

  1. Register in advance.
  2. Bring flat shoes and spikes (check your spikes every practice!) plus a full bottle of water.
  3. Dress for the weather - we train in all conditions that aren't dangerous. (We definitely train in snow, so bundle up!)
