Event Description:

Info: This one day cross country camp will cover various skills that will help all levels of distance runners to become better athletes and work towards improving their race times. We will have sessions focused on pacing, speed, running form, mobility and strength drills. 

Please bring a water bottle with you-we will have coolers to refill your bottles on site and an athletic trainer. You will need your running shoes and if you have spikes, feel free to bring them as well for the speed session. Lunch will not be provided, so please pack your own lunch or make other arrangements to have food delivered to our track during our lunch break. We will have a shaded area for campers and workers to eat packed lunches near the track.

Rain Date: Sunday, June 23rd 

Who: Rising 7th-12th graders (will be separated into groups by age and skill level)

Time: 8:30AM-3PM

Where: Maryville College Austin Coleman Piper Memorial Track and Field Complex and MC Woods

Cost: $60

Early Registration April 25th- June 2nd (includes a camp t-shirt)

Registration April 25th-June 19th (only those who complete early registration will receive a t-shirt, early registration ends June 2nd)


Schedule:

8:30-8:50am Check in

8:50-9 welcome 

9-9:50 session 1(Intro game, agilities, warmup)

10-10:50 session 2 (form drills and speed)

11-11:50 session 3 (pacing)

12-12:45 lunch break beside track (please pack your own lunch) 

12:50-1:20 session 4 (core/strength training)

1:30-2:00 session 5 (Form drills/mobility/yoga)

2:10-2:45 End of camp game and info session about MCXC, Maryville College and recruiting
