More About Coach Yhonathan
Since stepping away from professional play, Barrios has spent the last six years training professional and amateur athletes throughout Colombia, becoming one of the most trusted private instructors for Latin American talent preparing for MLB, minor leagues, and international competition.
Yhonathan Barrios brings years of experience at the highest level of the game. After signing as an international free agent and rising through the Pittsburgh Pirates organization, Barrios debuted in the Major Leagues with the Milwaukee Brewers, showcasing elite-level mechanics, velocity, and game preparation.
At BV Baseball, each training session is tailored to the athlete’s developmental stage and competitive goals. Clients can expect a focused, high-intensity environment that mirrors the discipline and structure of professional-level training. Whether you're working on pitching, hitting, or overall athletic performance, every session integrates key fundamentals with advanced techniques.
My focus is on developing complete ballplayers—physically, mechanically, and mentally. For pitchers, that means refining mechanics, increasing velocity, and exploring pitch design. Hitters can expect detailed work on timing, contact consistency, and approach. We also emphasize sport-specific strength and conditioning, throwing progression, and mobility training to prevent injury and build long-term durability.
