1) Needs Assessment (5 min) – I begin each session with a basic assessment of the client’s needs and goals. A brief discussion about fitness goals (strength, flexibility, endurance, etc.) and general goals (making the team, cutting fat, gaining lean muscle, etc.) will allow us to communicate and work together to meet the goals. I will document the client’s needs, goals, and performance for future reference.

2) Dynamic Warm Up (5-10 min) – Increase body temperature, stimulate muscle groups, and activate cardiovascular system to prepare for intense athletic training.

3) Sport Specific Training (20-40 min) – This part of the session is focused on specific skill work and is 100% modifiable. According to the client’s needs and goals, the skill work could include (but is not limited to) ball handling, passing, attacking the basket, scoring, rebounding, defense, and footwork. I create stations to work at so the client is challenged by adapting to new objectives every few minutes. We will use high quality fitness equipment as necessary.

4) High Intensity Interval Training (5-10 min) – The final periods of energy expenditure and focus will lead to the GREATEST gains and improvement. We will pair sport specific skills with high intensity movements to fatigue the client and simulate game like situations. Clients will recognize physical and psychological improvements as they test their physical limits. Safety is a high concern; the client will be training under slight discomfort, but never in any danger.

5) Closure (2-3 min) – I analyze and evaluate data for the client to view and reflect on. I encourage feedback of the training in order to make it enjoyable and effective for the client. We discuss subsequent training sessions.

Client Reviews

Coach Andrew was terrific. He really enjoys the students and makes the sessions a lot of fun. As opposed to just giving instruction and then directing them to do it, Coach Andrew is out on the court really working hands on with them. It makes a huge difference. He is very easy to talk to and explains his ideas and drills so everything is very clear. My son very much enjoyed working with coach.

Coach Andrew was organized, energetic and prepared. He directed very pointed drills and instruction that worked on fundamentals and execution of ball handling, moves and shooting while moving at a high speed. It was an overall great workout for the boys and one they enjoyed!

Coach Andrew was great!!! First session made my son feel comfortable and looking forward to working with him.

He's a great trainor.

Coach Andrew was extremely organized and on task. Not a second of our session was wasted. He put my daughter through a well-prepared training program that focused on strengthening underlying skills. He was positive and encouraging yet realistic. I was quite impressed by his knowledge and teaching ability and would absolutely recommend him.

We are impressed with Coach Andrew. His enthusiasm and strength helps motivate our son to be a better Basketball player.
We look forward to more sessions with Coach Andrew.

He was the coach for the child of our department's superintendent and she said amazing things after the season about how great Andrew was with her kid and all of the kids on that team.
This summer we held our annual basketball camp and the first phone call I made when it came time to hire a staff was to Andrew... In this coaching role, Andrew was great; he was able to get the attention of the children he worked with, effectively communicated to them the rules and fundamentals of basketball, and had only positive interactions with the other adult coaches.
