More About Coach William

I have experience coaching at the collegiate and youth level. I have worked for San Jose State University, UC Berkeley, Laney Community College, and Holy Names University. I typically train youth and elite level athletes (ages 10-40) in track and field. My coaching philosophy integrates modern sports science with practical coaching application. I am a certified USATF level 3, IAAF level 5 elite coach, USAW sports performance, and Certified Strength Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). I have also earned a Masters degree in Kinesiology/Exercise Physiology from San Jose State University.

I was a multi-event track and field athlete at San Jose State University.
I competed with the SJSU Judo team
I currently compete in Olympic Weight Lifting

Athletes I work with should expect to be challenged and make significant gains. I follow a block-periodized system that develops the athlete in phases throughout the year. My typical micro cycle workouts begin with a general warm up followed by specific event drills, speed or agility drills, and strength and conditioning. I like to evaluate client performance at different periods within the training cycle so that they can see progress throughout their training.

Client Reviews

Our initial training session went very well. Coach William did a great job of explaining how to do each workout. Our daughter has experience running track, and Coach William was still able to give her some pointers.

Coach Brown is amazing. He is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about what he wants his athletes to learn . My daughter enjoys working with him.
