More About Coach Wayne
I have coached in the Nassau County, New York area all throughout my college career from youth leagues to private one on one sessions. I moved to the Atlanta, Georgia area in 2016 and am currently coaching at North Atlanta High School as a Varsity Assistant coach. My main role with North Atlanta is coaching the Defense but, I have plenty of knowledge on the offensive side of the ball as well.
I have been playing the game since I was ten years old. In high school I competed at Smithtown High School West in Smithtown, New York. I finished my career at Smithtown as a All-county and All-Division Defensemen. I then went on to play College Lacrosse for Adelphi University a division II school in Garden City, New York. I finished my senior year at Adelphi as a 1st team All conference and 2nd team All-American defensemen. My time at Adelphi I had the opportunity to play in 3 final fours and one national championship.
I like to work on the fundamentals of the game of lacrosse. You can expect me to work on stick skills because having solid stick skills will bring you a long way in lacrosse. I also believe that the game is all about angles and taking the best angle to either the ball or to the goal will make you a much better player.
