More About Coach Tyrone

LTC (RET) Crabb, faithfully served his country and with outstanding service for over 22 years. He served in Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom. Coach Crabb has traveled and served both in the U.S. and abroad. While in the service what he found most rewarding was coaching, mentoring, training and developing young men & women into excellent service members and superior teams.

Coach Crabb started his coaching career in 1992. Coach Crabb is a nationally credentialed QB coach with Darin Slack’s National Football Academies. He has coached all aspects and positions of the game of football, basketball and track.

Coach Crabb is currently the Passing Game Coordinator & Varsity Wide Receiver Coach at Hayfield Secondary. He implemented the same techniques and tactics he used at Lake Braddock Secondary, which led LBSS to a 2013 District Championship to lead Hayfield to a District Championship.

In 2007, Coach Crabb decided to specialize in the development of Quarterbacks. His development began with the late Joe Krivak, former Maryland Head Coach and NFL scout. Coach Crabb mentored under Coach Krivak for over 2 years. Coach Crabb's desire to be a better QB Coach lead him to Darin Slack’s National Football Academies. Coach Crabb was then introduced to Dub Maddox and Darin Slack and he has continued his professional development under these great men.

Coach Crabb has had the pleasure to personally work with and learn from individuals who have played at all levels, won the highest championships and are in the Pro Hall of Fame. He has worked and learned from Art Monk, Ricky Ervins, Brian Mitchell, Phillip Blackwell, Shawn Springs, Joe Krivak, Jim Poythress, & Eric Henderson.

Coach Crabb has received several awards: 1986 & 1987 Academic All American, 1996 EFL Semi Pro Football Defensive Coordinator of the Year and 2102 Fairfax, Nike’s Youth Coach of The Year.

Coach Crabb played 3 years D1AA (FCS) College football at Morgan State University. In College his primary position was defensive back. After college while station in Germany he played for and was the Captain & QB for the Darmstadt Raiders, in Germany.

Although I will travel, there is usually an additional fee associated with it when I travel out of my preferred locations of Burke, VA and Fairfax, VA. Do not travel be the reason we cannot train, we can discuss what it would be.

Coach Tyrone was excellent. He spent a lot of time with Tyler, explaining why and how too which really helped Tyler understand the game more! Tyler is very excited about learning more and becoming a better athlete.

Our son Blake has been training with Coach Crabb for a short and We are so happy with the results. As parents he continues to surprise and exceed our expectations with each session. We signed Blake up for the training hoping to improve his skill level at quarterback however what we receive is so much more! Each session Blake not only improves his skill level with expert one on one instruction from Coach Crabb but is given lessons on team work, self discipline, the appreciation of others, and the true meaning of hard work. All of these things combined gives our son the ability to self correct his own mistakes and be confident in himself on and off the football field. We have all learned so much since my son started training with him. He takes the time to teach us as parents which enables us to offer advise, constructive criticism, or positive reinforcement that we weren't able to give previously. Blake's skill level has improved tremendously in such a short time period with Coach Crabb. We are excited to see how he continues to grow as a player and person with the continued training from Coach Crabb.

Coach Crabb I love how you love what you do! I just told Angela the other day, you are so awesome at what you do! Its more than obvious that you truly care about Blake and his love for the sport! You are always pushing him beyond what he thinks he is capable of! At the end of a training he walks away believing in him self & his abilities more & more, Leaving him with something fresh & excitng to ponder til you meet again! You play such a part in keeping him well rounded & have self respect every step of the way! Blake has always played with so much heart can't take that from him as a ball player, however you have helped him bring it to a different level! Thanks for all you do!
we do love to see the results CC. From what I hear he was a coach favorite today. The camp wasn't NFA but it was great practice and team bonding for his guys and he got to take a lot of reps which will be great getting him ready for this week and NFA next week. He said that Mississippi State was a big fan asking where his dad was and giving him thumbs up on his skills and his knowledge. And that was worth the money spent to help build the confidence he needs to be able to trust his mechanics. It's a journey and each time something like this can happen and proves to him that he really does know what he's doing and could answer questions that nobody else could answer it brings his confidence level up where it needs to be. And for all of these milestones we will continue to face during Blake's journey we are so appreciative that you will be there by his side. Only way you will get rid of us, is if you move far far away.
