More About Coach Tyler
hello! My name is Tyler Askew but all of my athletes acknowledge me as “Coach T.” I have been a personal trainer for about 2 years now and I’ve coached track and field for the past three years. I was the volunteer assistant coach from Sept. 2015 - May 2017. Just recently I accepted the assistant coaching position for jumps and sprints at Missouri Western State University. In addition to me working with college age athletes, I was blessed enough to have been the assistant director of youth sports at the YMCA of Lafayette, IN while achieving my Bachelors degree at Purdue University.

● 2015 B1G Runner-Up in the long jump [Purdue]
Personal Bests
●60m: 6.78
●100m: 10.52
● Long jump PR (Indoors): 7.60m (24’11 ft)
● Long jump PR (outdoors): 7.81m (25’8 ft)
At Missouri Western State, I wrote the yearly training program for the jumpers and sprinters and also the strength and conditioning program for 50+ collegiate athletes. Considering that fact, my sessions will consist of many different elements to improve speed, power, explosiveness, technique, consistency, marks, strength, flexibility, etc, etc.. Specific days may be explosive movement based, another day may consist of technique and event specific training, and other days may focus on strength and conditioning, all of which will contribute to the overall success of your young athlete. I am very knowledgeable in most all events but my primary focus are the jumping events (long jump, triple jump, high jump) and sprinting events (60m, 100m, 200m, 400m).

Benedict (CoachUp client)
Coach Tyler help me with the breakdown of long jump and help me get to my indoor goal for the 60/ Long Jump with sleds and acceleration drills. The drills and workout we did that session overall made me also feel more confident. Many more sessions to come
