More About Coach Tristen
I have had the opportunity to work with high school boys during season training. While in junior high, high school, and college, I trained with Otter Elite Basketball, Five Star Basketball, Chicago Bulls Training Academy, and Wilson Hoop Camp. In addition, I trained privately with Jason Otter, (NBA Trainer and Former Division I Player) Josh Oppenheimer, (Milwaukee Bucks Assistant Coach) and Jeff Pagliocca, (Evolution Athletics: NBA and WNBA Training).
Competing since age five, basketball has played an important role in my life as I developed skills, confidence, leadership, focus, critical thinking, and competitive edge. I played travel basketball in junior high, was a four year high school letterman, competed in the state regional three point shooting competition, was Special Mention All State Illinois, and instrumental in winning the Conference and Regional championship. I played for IMG Academy during my post graduate year prior to college. As a Division I basketball player at Presbyterian College, I competed in the Big South Conference and with teams in the ACC, SEC, Big Ten, and Pac 12 (Michigan, Notre Dame, Marquette, Dayton, Butler, UCLA, Clemson) and Bahamas Tournament.
After evaluation and discussion with the player regarding goals and objectives, a development training plan would be completed. Techniques would include but are not limited to dribbling, elite shooting mechanics, speed, agility, passing, court awareness, and positive attitude.
The session would begin with warm up techniques, specific drills, evaluation, and next session goals. My objective as a coach is provide positive attitude and enthusiasm while building extreme player work ethic.
