More About Coach Tre

I have five years of coaching experience. I am currently the defensive backs coach at Chamberlain high school. I previously worked as a defensive assistant for the Tampa Bay Storm arena football team, and spent over a year there. I also spent two seasons working as a volunteer for USF Football. I have tons of experience in football, as I have been playing since I was six years. I am an expert in training defensive backs, and am able to use my experience as a former Division 1 FBS defensive back to provide them with insights that many high school coaches are unable to provide.

As I previously mentioned, I have played football almost my entire life, up until my graduation from the University of South Florida in Spring 2015. I played safety for Miramar High School in South Florida, where I was a defensive captain, and we won a state championship my senior year. I received a scholarship offer to play football at the US Naval Academy, before transferring to USF and finishing my career. At USF, I played as a reserve defensive back while starting on every special team. Even though I started at USF as a walk-on, I earned a scholarship by my senior year and received an award for most outstanding walk-on.

The session starts with stretching and a warm-up. I exclusively train defensive backs, so the first part of the session is focused on footwork and agility. The next part of the session is where we work on techniques that each position will need to master in order to become true technicians of their craft. For defensive backs, this consists of things like change of direction and being explosive out of breaks, eye discipline, stances and alignment, and playing press coverage. The last part, depending on the size of the group, is usually a competition segment, where athletes will work against each other, attempting to use what they learned to win their one-on-one match-up. If a group is very small, this last segment will be modified, but the competition aspect of it will be preserved if at all possible.

Client Reviews

Coach Tre is very knowledgeable as a DB coach this is my son’s first time being coached one on one and he is excited and is learning a lot .

Tre was already set up and ready when we arrived. Unfortunately due to an asthma attack during warmup our session had to be rescheduled. Watching his techniques with others on the field, he seems like a good fit for us. Looking forward to training more in the future.
