More About Coach Timothy

As an NSCA Certified Strength & Conditioning Coach (CSCS) who recommends the EXOS/Athletes Performance/Core Performance approach to training - individualized programs provided via the Fitness Builder (PumpOne) iPhone app. Unlike most Strength Coaches, I have taught all aspects of Strength & Conditioning and Exercise Physiology at the Graduate (MSc. Smith College) and undergraduate level to students and coaches since 1992.

Has been teaching sport physiology to coaches since 1992 as part of the Canadian National Coaching Certification Program (Levels 1-3).

I have been training scientifically since my days as a Physical Education student more than 40 years ago. I compete in all of the racquet sports and have held a #22 world ranking as recently as 2007. In addtion to my Strength credentials I am also a Certified coach in tennis, squash, racquetball and badminton (check my other CoachUp profiles).

I do a thorough practical and scientific assessment of your needs, and then set appropriate and achievable goals. My instruction focuses on making you self-directed and independent as soon as possible. I place a large emphasis on providing you with follow-up materials accessible through apps, articles on my website and other readings and videos.
