More About Coach Terry
I am a certified strength and conditioning specialist who is a current Varsity Head Track and Field Coach in charge of the sprinters. I have been a speed and conditioning trainer for 19 years. I have access to the latest in training techniques and equipment.
At a body weight of 218 pounds I had 4.5% body fat, a 37 inch vertical jump, a 390 pound bench press, a 600 pound squat and a 575 pound dead lift. I also ran a 4.41 forty yard dash with a 10'6" standing broad jump
Each session will begin with a dynamic warm-up in which all of the muscle groups will be activated. Proper form and technique will be stressed frequently. Once the warm up is complete the primary focus of the day will be addressed. This will range from deceleration training, lateral movement, running mechanics, core strength, explosiveness and acceleration training. There will be a great emphasis placed on bi-lateral strength and Olympic lifts. Each session and exercise will be explained so that each athlete will gain knowledge and a deeper understanding of how each exercise benefits them.
