More About Coach Talo
I started to train 4, 5 kids during the summer in 2024. I just wanted to see if I would get any traction and having that many kids to start wasn't too bad for me. I have coached club basketball for middle schoolers and summer league ball for high schoolers. I haven't worked for anyone as a trainer but want to start my own. I would like to work with middle schoolers to 12th graders. At the moment I don't have any industry certifications just knowledge I have gained from playing.
n high school, I scored over 1,000 points and averaged 25 points per game my senior year. I was named All-State and earned First Team All-Conference honors. After that, I continued playing at the Division III level.
I like to run small-sided games so everything you do feels more game-like—helps you read and react better in real situations. I’m also big on technique, so we’ll mix it up—start with some drills to fine-tune the details, then get into more live, game-speed stuff. For me, the most important skill is being able to shoot the ball. If you can knock down shots consistently, it opens up a lot of options for you on the court, so we’ll definitely put solid time into that.
