More About Coach Shun
I have been coaching/training for 6 years. I've coached at the youth level ages 5-12, middle school, high school and collegiate athletes. I've played football my entire life starting from pop-warner to the NFL. I specialize in speed, footwork, agility, reactivity, and conditioning. I have a wealth of knowledge to share with young individuals no matter the sport who are willing to work hard and remain dedicated not only to themselves but the process itself!
Shun White was born and raised in Memphis, TN where he earned 4 letters playing football and running track for Raleigh Egypt High School. He was an all district and state running back leading the Pharaohs to a (9-3) record, the best in school history. Shun’s accomplishments on the field led him to get invited to the U.S. Army High School All American National Combine, which at the time was the top 200 underclassmen in the country. On the track Shun was one of the top sprinters in the state qualifying each of his last 3 years in the 100 meters, 4x100 meter relay, and the 4x200 meter relay. His senior year Raleigh Egypt won its first state Championship for track and field in school history finishing first in both the 4x100 and 4x200 meter relays. Shun earned a scholarship to play football at the United States Naval Academy.
At Navy where he played running back, White was Navy’s seventh leading rusher of all time. Shun was the first slot back in program history to rush for a 1,000 yards attaining 1,092 during his senior campaign. During the 2008 season he set a Navy record when he rushed for 348 yards in a single game against Towson. White is the first Navy player to rush for 300 yards in a game and is the 80th player in NCAA FBS (Football Bowl Subdivision) history to bust the 300-yard plateau. White’s rushing mark ranks 17th on the NCAA’s all-time single-game rushing list. Additionally, White was No. 2 nationally in average yards per carry finishing at (8.27) per carry during the 2008 season.
White was the 200-meter champion and finished second in the 100-meter dash at the Patriot League Outdoor Track & Field Championship; he holds the school record in the 60-meter dash with a time of 6.87 seconds.
The New England Patriots signed Shun White as an undrafted free agent following the 2009 NFL Draft. He spent 3 years with the Patriots (2009-2012), one year on the practice squad and the other two on the Reserve/Military list. Shun was released from the Patriots on March 28, 2013.

Coach Shun challenges our sons ability to do better, he pushes our son outside his comfort zone, physically, and mentally. Coach Shun educates our son on the proper way on different technique in football. He is a wonderful encourager , handles himself with proffessionalism at all times, he really enjoys the game, and a positive role model.
