More About Coach Shane

I have coached at the division 1,2, and 3 levels. I have also coached at the junior college and prep school level. I have worked with students from the youth all the way up to college.

I competed at the high school level and then became a student manager at Quinnipiac University. At the high school level I was apart of championship level programs. At the college and prep school level I have also been apart of championship level programs.

I believe the fundamentals are very important.

-ball handling - a routine of 1 ball and then 2 ball dribbling to work on dribbling with each hand
- finishing - the ability to make layups in a variety of ways around the basket is becoming even more important in todays game
- mid range shooting - catch and shoot as well as dribble moves into mid range jump shots
- 3pt shooting - catch and shoot, spot shots, off the move, off the dribble
