More About Coach Sean

I've been training basketball players for nearly two years, working throughout the Central Massachusetts area. I've coached across all levels — grade school, middle school, high school, and college — with my primary focus on middle and high school-aged athletes.

I played college basketball at Quinsigamond Community College, where I earned two conference All-Star selections and set the school record for most three-pointers in a single game (11). I then transferred to Dean College, where I played for one additional year.

Every session is built around meeting the athlete where they are — I stay patient and approachable, and I adapt to what each player responds to best, both technically and emotionally. I run both individual and group sessions, though I generally prefer group settings because they allow for more game-like repetitions against players at a similar level, which better mirrors real competition than solo drilling can.
My training is built on the Constraints-Led Approach (CLA), a coaching philosophy that develops skill by shaping the environment and rules of a drill or mini-game rather than dictating movements step by step. Instead of walking a player through a fixed technique, I build in variability — through small-sided games, shifting constraints, and live decision-making — so players learn to adapt and problem-solve in real time. The goal isn't just to build raw skill, but to build basketball IQ: players who can read situations, make quick decisions, and learn through trial and error, the same way they'll have to in an actual game.

Client Reviews

Mark Adamo (Testimonial)

My son has been working out with Sean for the past three years, and the consistent improvement has been through the roof. As a smaller 12-year-old, it can be really challenging going up against bigger and stronger players, but Sean has taught him how to use his size and speed as an advantage. He's now become really effective at driving and scoring against kids who are almost a foot taller, using his physicality with the dribble and on his drives. Sean has also had him relentlessly working on his left hand, which has gone from a weakness to a real asset in his game. The workouts are tough—he sweats like crazy—but they're also something he genuinely looks forward to every week. That says a lot about the way Sean trains and connects with his players. We'll be working with Sean as much as possible for many years to come. We couldn't be happier with the development, confidence, and love for the game he's helped build in our son.
