More About Coach Scott

I have been coaching Varsity High School Disc and Shot Put for the past seven years. I have coached all levels of ages 11+ and all skill levels. I have had athletes qualify for top Invitationals like Arcadia, Area, and State.

I have had athletes not only make the top Invitationals around the state of California as well as area and state. Some athletes have received scholarships or have competed at the college level.

The training session plan will depend upon the skill level of the athlete. Every athlete would take 10 minutes to warm up before the lesson. A beginner would start with the basics like how to hold the disc/shot, release of disc/shot, block throw (standing), a then move to more advanced like the Half and South African to a full rotation as the skill level increases. If more advanced, we will break the current technique down from the back of the ring to the finish to maximize hitting the positions to get the most out of the throw.

Recommend to everyone

I think you're a great coach. You have lots of patience and support for me, the team, and others not even a part of the team. You have also made me better at shot and disc, more than I would've ever imagined.
