I began coaching as a HS player, and throughout my college career, by participating in clinics, individual instruction and pitching "live" to younger players for tournament prep. Post college, I coached my former HS freshman team and was offered the Asst. Head Coach position which I declined due to military commitment. I have assisted numerous HS and LL coaches, done 1 on 1 instruction from LL to college players, and have studied the game, and it's best players for 40 years. I am currently coaching individual and group sessions along with assistant coaching a 13U club ball/travel team.

I was a All Star caliber P/SS throughout LL, Legion ball and HS. In HS I pitched as a sophomore on a veteran heavy team. My Jr. year I was team MVP, All Conference P and All Sectional SS. My Sr. year I was team MVP, Team Captain, All Conference SS and All Sectional P. I helped lead the team to a conference title and first 20+ win season in school history.

I played one year of JUCO ball at Middle Georgia and one year at Vincennes University, IN. My final two years I pitched at Armstrong State College, Savannah Georgia. My jr. year we were NCAA DI and won the Big South Conference while finishing 47-15. My sr. year we were NCAA DII and ranked #1 or #2 in the country throughout the season. Despite shoulder problems, I was the winning P (relief) in the Southeast Regional Championship and participated at the NCAA DII CWS in Montgomery, Alabama. We finished ranked 4th in the country at 42-13. I played under the all time winningest DII coach, Joe Roberts.

Initial instruction will begin with a brief Q&A to identify current knowledge level, your ultimate goal as a player, and evaluation of your skill set hitting, pitching, fielding, throwing or whatever areas you seek improvement. I am not a clock watcher. We will refine your fundamentals to the highest level your physical ability will allow while understanding the theory and reasoning behind those fundamentals. Ultimately, we want to be a thinking ballplayer that can go on auto-pilot when the play has to be made. Parents are welcome to observe/participate if they so desire.

I do use slo-mo video for mechanical analysis during hitting/pitching sessions. Upon request I will shoot video during the session (no additional charge) for players/parents to keep for evaluation of their progress/mechanics. During hitting sessions I also use a Zepp swing sensor to record, evaluate and track various swing metrics.

Sessions will be scheduled to run 1hr. Group packages will run longer to provide detailed instruction to all participants. I am also receptive to attending a game to observe and shoot video, at no cost, for evaluation prior to a session or between sessions. My availability varies throughout any given week. Coach Scott is a great instructor of the game and he really emphasizes the importance of swing mechanics. I am a collegiate athlete and he helped me tremendously. I had one lesson with him and a couple swings in he pointed out two flaws in my swing to improve upon. He videoed my swing and after the practice we reviewed the video. I noticed right away what I was doing wrong and he offered a solution instantly to fix the issue along with various drills to work out the imperfections. He is a very knowledgeable instructor and is perfect to work with for any baseball player of any age. Be ready to improve your skill and give it 100% when you work with Coach Scott.

Scott is patient and so easy to work with. My son is very comfortable with him and the results are showing on the field at his baseball games. Scott also played catch with him last lesson and noticed he had a very good arm and encouraged him to pitch. My son has pitched before but didn't pursue it but now that Scott has encouraged him to try again, he's really excited about trying again. We will continue to work with Scott even after the baseball season is over. Thank you Scott!!

Scott is very thorough, and personable. My 7 year old has made improvements in several areas immediately. I highly recommend Scott to anyone who's son is not improving with the current coaching they are receiving. My son has been trained & coached for years before seeing Scott. Most volunteer coaches are not detailed enough to help teach the valuable skills needed to get you're child to the next level. I have found that Scott posesses those skills.

I'm in college and I'm looking to try out for the club team at my school next spring. My only experience was with slowpitch softball and I came to Coach Scott looking to try my hand at baseball. I have only had three sessions with Scott but I've already improved considerably. We fixed my grip on the ball, my throw and most importantly we fixed my swing. During my last session, I hit baseballs farther than I've ever hit them in my life. He helped evaluate my skills and put me in a good position on the field so that I can perform at my best. I am coming from France and was looking forward to improve myself hitting, swinging...Coach Scott is really awesome, he completly involved himself by sharing his huge knowledge and his own tricks...so after only one lesson, I improved and felt more comfortable. Moreover, he recorded our training in slow-mo video, analyzed it and sent me his feedback.That's permit me to improve faster and better by comparing how I feel and how I do..Of course I recommend Coach Scott, it's always a pleasure to work with him, he is passionnate, professionnal, and go straight to the goal.

Coach Scott is Outstanding!!! He works very well with our six year old son, who can be very stubborn at times. Coach Scott takes his time and our son really enjoys working with him.
