Session Overview
Initial Assessment:
Evaluation: We start with a thorough assessment of the player’s skills, strengths, and areas for improvement. This includes discussing their goals, previous experiences, and specific challenges they face.
Movement Analysis: I often observe the player's mechanics in various drills to identify fundamental issues.
Warm-Up:
Dynamic Stretching: We begin with a dynamic warm-up to prepare the body for movement and reduce the risk of injury.
Mobility Drills: Targeting specific areas that may impact performance, focusing on hips, shoulders, and core stability.
Skill Development:
Drills: Based on the assessment, we focus on targeted drills. For example:
Hitting: Bat path drills, tee work, or live BP to enhance mechanics.
Pitching: Focus on arm slot, leg drive, and follow-through through specific throwing drills.
Fielding: Ground ball and fly ball drills to improve reaction time and footwork.
Progressions: I tailor the complexity of drills to match the player’s skill level, gradually increasing difficulty.
Game Situations:
Situational Drills: Incorporate game-like scenarios to apply skills in a competitive context. This could involve situational hitting, defensive positioning, or base running strategies.
Feedback and Correction:
Real-Time Feedback: Throughout the session, I provide immediate feedback to ensure proper technique and reinforce learning.
Video Analysis (if applicable): Sometimes, I use video to illustrate points and track progress over time.
Cool Down:
Static Stretching: We conclude with a cool-down period that includes static stretching and discussion about the day’s session.
Reflection: I encourage players to reflect on what they learned and how they can apply it in practice or games.

Client Reviews
Irving (CoachUp client)
Coach Scott focused on my son’s areas of improvement by first starting off with an assessment. He then designed drills that help teach proper technique and footwork that has slowly built up my son’s confidence. He’s also introduced us to drills with equipment we can run at home that are cost efficient.
Christopher Stern/ Oradell Little League President (Testimonial)
As a dad, there’s nothing more rewarding than seeing my son, Thomas, grow and enjoy playing the game he loves. Coach Scott has been instrumental in making the past two years of baseball such a positive experience for him. From the very beginning, Coach Scott has shown a genuine commitment to each player, taking the time to understand their strengths and areas for growth. He has a remarkable way of balancing instruction with encouragement, pushing the kids to improve while keeping the game fun. Thomas has not only developed his skills on the field but has also learned the value of teamwork, sportsmanship, and perseverance—all thanks to Coach Scott’s guidance. I’m truly grateful for the impact Coach Scott has had on Thomas and the entire team. His dedication and passion for coaching are evident in every practice and game. We couldn’t have asked for a better coach to lead our kids this season. Thank you, Coach Scott, for everything you do!
