More About Coach Sam
I worked as a baseball trainer and mentor at the Division I University of Akron for children and teens. I lead baseball camps for players ranging from 8-18 years old. I have done private lessons for players that focus on specific areas that need to be developed in order to have success at the next level!
I was given a full-tuition scholarship for baseball at the University of Akron. In my time at Akron, I earned an All-American award in 2011 and was scouted by five major league teams. In the 2011 summer, I earned the MVP award in the All American Amateur Baseball Association (AAABA). In high school, I received the MVP award in Somerset County in 2008. Currently playing in the mid-state league in the Harrisburg area.
The sessions are tailored to the player's needs. If you want fundamental skills in hitting or fielding? I've got drills and lessons for that. Agility and quicker hands? Drills and fast-twitch muscle exercises. Increased power hitting or arm strength? You got it. I work to improve your overall performance as well as target and enhance specific skill areas that need further development. If you're unsure on what areas you want to target, no worries, we'll go over your mechanics in fielding and/or hitting and develop a plan together.
