More About Coach Samantha

I was a Graduate Assistant coach for two years at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA after completing 4 years of collegiate swimming at the D1 level myself. In the past, I have also coached for summer swim league and given private lessons within the triangle area. I am now a Physical Therapist, specifically working with athletes of all age groups and weekend warriors alike.

I competed at the D1 level for both Swimming and Track & Field at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA. At Duquesne, I set the school and Atlantic 10 conference record in the 100 freestyle, and set the school record in the 200 freestyle, along with contributing to 3 relay records. I was an Iron Duke recipient in 2015-2016, Student Woman Athlete of the Year nominee in 2016, and on the Scholar All-American Team of CSCAA in 2016.

A typical session with me will include analysis of technique using video to determine the athlete's strengths and areas of improvement. From there, drills will be focused on increasing efficiency and power in the water through proper technique. These drills will then be applied to an appropriate pace for each swimmer. I will also help the athlete set goals for events and break down pace strategies if requested.
