More About Coach Ryan
I am currently the Head Baseball Coach at Fulshear High School and previously served as the Head Baseball Coach at Katy Paetow High School for two years. During my time at Paetow, I helped develop 10+ athletes who went on to receive college athletic scholarships, along with one athlete who was selected in the MLB Draft.
Prior to becoming a head coach, I served as an assistant coach at West Orange-Stark High School and Orangefield High School. I also have extensive experience working with athletes through 1-on-1 instruction, group lessons, and high-level travel baseball.
My goal is to help each athlete develop the skills, confidence, discipline, and work ethic needed to reach their potential on and off the field. I work with players of all ages and skill levels, as long as they are eager to learn, willing to be coached, and ready to put in the work.
Whether your athlete is just getting started, looking to make the next team, or working toward playing baseball at the college level, I will build instruction around their individual needs and goals.
I have been playing baseball since the age of five and have competed in multiple sports at a high level throughout my athletic career. In high school, I was a three-year letterman in both football and baseball. I was fortunate to be part of two state championship football teams and competed in a state championship in baseball. I was a two-time First Team All-District selection in both football and baseball and was also named First Team Academic All-State.
I continued my baseball career at Galveston Junior College, where I played first base and designated hitter for two years. During my time there, I was named First Team Academic All-Region.
My experiences as both a multi-sport athlete and collegiate baseball player have given me a strong understanding of the commitment, discipline, and work ethic required to compete at a high level. I bring those experiences into my coaching and instruction to help athletes develop both on and off the field.
Every lesson is designed around the athlete’s individual goals, position, age, and current skill level. The focus is on quality repetitions, proper movement patterns, game application, and measurable improvement.
My goal is not simply to make an athlete better during a lesson. I want to teach athletes how to practice, how to compete, and how to make adjustments.
Each athlete will receive individualized instruction based on their current ability and long-term goals. Whether they are just beginning, preparing for high school baseball, playing travel baseball, or pursuing college baseball, lessons will be structured to meet them where they are and challenge them to improve.
