A typical session would be a warm-up, and then into some handling warm-up/technique. Then I would work with the keeper and slowly progress from exercises on the ground working to ensure technique is executed correctly and slowly move up to working from their feet. I would then work into some live scenarios with cones to work on footwork and how to handle certain scenarios. I believe being a good goalkeeper is based on your positioning, being ready, and proper technique. Being the best goalkeeper is not simply being the most athletic, but ensuring you understand the game and how to prepare for the various scenarios you might encounter during a game.

Coach Ryan is outstanding. Professional, punctual, and hard working. Great communication about session time/location. He worked to adapt a lesson that really challenged my 10-year-old at just the right level. He is motivational and very in tune with the needs and abilities of who he coaches.

Coach Ryan has been wonderful. He has taught child so much in such a short period of time. My son went from wanting nothing to do with soccer to being very excited to go.

Ryan has the unique combination of technical knowledge, ability to teach and positive demeanor. My daughter saw noticeable improvement halfway through our first session.

Great coach, taught me some great things. I haven’t had a coach so dedicated on making me a better athlete. Has a great attitude and is fun to work with. I will definitely be booking with him more and soon!
