I coached at Newton North HS for 40 years before retiring in November 2018. I was appointed head varsity coach in March 1987 and amassed 13 Bay State Championships, 5 Eastern Mass Championships and 3 State Championships in 20 tournament appearances. In 32 years as head coach I coached 660 games, accruing 472 wins and was named Bay State Coach of the Year 4 times & Boston Globe Coach of the Year in 1994. Over the years I've had the privilege of coaching over 20 high school All Americans. In addition to my coaching experience at Newton North, I have coached a U15 USA Team in Melbourne Australia (1995) and the National High School All Start Game in Ohio in 1998. During my coaching career at NNHS I founded the Newton Recreation Indoor Program (1987-2018) and was the Director of the Garden City Lacrosse Camp from 1993-2018. I also helped organize the Newton Youth Lacrosse Program and coached at several different levels. I have been coaching with Piatelli Select Lacrosse for the past 13 years and more recently hired as an Asst. Coach at the Dexter School. Over the past 4 years I have been the Director of the Breaker Lacrosse Camp at Roxbury Latin.

As a player I was an All America selection (1975) and captain at Newton North HS where I held the scoring record (until my son Bryce broke it in 2017). After NNHS I continued to play at Boston State College (now UMASS Boston), where I was a team captain, MVP and selected to the National North/South All Star Game (1979) and named MVP of the New England Senior All Star Game. I have also been inducted to the Newton North HS Hall of Fame (2004), the UMass/Boston Hall of Fame (2006) as well as the US Lacrosse Hall of Fame (2016).

My training regimen will focus on foundational, position specific skills, drills, strategic development and the expansion of the players overall lacrosse IQ. The training sessions will not only emphasize the development of tangible skills such as passing, catching, dodging, shooting on the run, but will also reinforce the principles of sound defensive positioning including approaches, breakdown and recovery.
