More About Coach Riley
I have been coaching basketball since 2017 with KingLife Academy, under former PCA (Positive Coaching Alliance) coach of the year winner Frankie Jones. In 2018 my team competed and won the Spring Kickoff tournament at Power2Play sports complex. We have also competed at a high level at national AAU tournaments which include tournaments in Utah, Las Vegas, and Orlando. I have coached kids as old as 5th grade all the way up to the high school varsity level.
I have been playing competitive basketball since a very young age for multiple teams in Iowa. I also played high school basketball in Iowa and Colorado. I have competed against college and professional basketball players during my playing time. In 2019 I had been training to play basketball at a professional level. During my playing career, I have played both wing and big. I am most known for my shooting ability.
Expect to work hard but have fun while doing so. We want to work on building weaknesses into strengths, and elevating strengths that we already have. Also helping them build good habits on the court. All while maintaining a positive attitude. Most sessions we will work on a specific part of the clients game. It could be shooting or ball handling, etc. as we work on the details and fundamentals within what we are working on. Then we finish with some competition drills.
