More About Coach Richard
I am a certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association as well as a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. My background is with various athletes of all ages. From kids ages 9-15 working on skills, drills, and technique during the off-season, to ages 16-22 working on their 40 yard dashes and strength and conditioning during the season and off-season. From basketball to football and bodybuilding, I have worked with individuals to help them achieve their personal goals. I have owned my own training studio, while also training at local health and fitness clubs in order to establish a wide range of clientele.
My athletic accomplishments include obtaining my second degree black-belt in Tae-Kwon-do and Winning a state championship in football during my freshman year of high school. After high school, I decided to dedicate my studies to the exercise science in order to help future athletes become the best possible athlete they can become.
I always begin with physical and postural assessments. It is imperative to address any imbalances or limitations for the athlete. Once these imbalances have been addressed (if any), then we begin with functional movements to work on building neuromuscular efficiency and proper form. After we are flawless with form, we then move toward more strength exercises to help build up the muscles and use these exercises to transfer into the real playing field.

Client Reviews
Kelli (Testimonial)
I began training with Richard more than two years ago and cannot say enough about him. At our gym, we have several cross training classes with many great trainers, but none have even come close to comparison with Richard. He has such an amazing attitude and his energy is inspiring to all of us. He focuses so much on proper form and even tolerates my ‘occasional’ whining (LOL). He even kept me fit throughout my pregnancy! He’s such a gifted and great guy along with being an outstanding trainer. If you are even thinking about personal fitness training, you will NOT regret calling Richard. I have never looked or felt better than I do today, and because of my improvement, I am so proud that four members of my family have began personal training where they live throughout the country and what a difference it has made!
Mr. Mike Allbritton (Testimonial)
Sorry so late in the response. Too much traveling! But glad to be home. Here is my testimonial… (Please make changes where you feel necessary): I was introduced to personal training for the first time in life only six months ago. I had always been active with routine exercise, but personal training was something that I had said I would do for the past two years, but would never commit. With the urging of my wife, I finally did it, and I will say that I strongly regret not having done it long ago. It has changed the way I feel, the way I look, and I feel stronger than ever before. After a routine annual physical, I was urged to begin strength training as I had reached an age that muscle atrophy would begin. The stronger I would become, the less prone to injury as I became older. When I was introduced to Richard Suezaki, I was immediately at ease and knew that his amazing attitude and training knowledge was going to be great. Like so many others, I was to proud, to private, to shy, to busy, or to whatever other excuses that I could make to get started. But I did it. What started as one time per week has become something that I look forward to 3-4 times per week. Richard is an amazing teacher, trainer, and human being. His energy and positive attitude combined with his vast education of kinesiology and personal training provide him the ability to target specific muscle layers and muscle groups in a way that I never imagined possible. Most importantly, his discipline and focus on form insures that each repetition is done right and safely. If this review sounds like a personal advertisement for Richard, it is. It is my personal testament to the trainer and person that has now become a good friend and mentor. If you know the feelings of procrastination and hesitation, take the chance and I promise that you will love it and love training with Richard. His creativity, encouragement, teaching, and motivation in training will make it a part of your life that you will forever appreciate.
