He has been High School football coach since 2011, working with wide receivers and quarterbacks at the varsity level. He has run his team’s off-season strength and conditioning programs as well as been a part of various camps and clinics reaching all ages and grades from K-12. He also brings an added benefit to his athlete’s with his past experience working the Rutgers Football recruiting office. The knowledge gained allows him better advise and guide young athletes in the recruitment process. His athletic highlights include state titles while playing quarterback at Manasquan High School and starting as a freshman at the United States Merchant marine Academy until a knee injury ended his playing career. He has spent time as the Offensive Coordinator and QB at Middletown South Hight School, and is currently the OC at Ocean Township HS. He has now coached 3 straight scholarship QBs, and Wrs over the past 5 seasons. Coach R.J. specializes in working with quarterbacks in all aspects of the game, from pre-season fundamentals to off-season strength and footwork training. He also works with athletes of all sports in the off season and preaches body control and athletic awareness that allows athletes to excel no matter what situation they face on the field or court.

I played high school football at Manasquan High School where I won 2 state titles at Quarterback. I continued my career at the United States Merchant Marine Academy, where I started as a freshman. My collegiate career ended do to injury, but I stayed involved with the sport at Rutgers as a student recruiting assistant.

My training session will consist of a mix of (Quarterbacks) throwing mechanics, footwork, situation throwing and other drills to help the athlete better understand the game; (Athletes) footwork, body control, flexibility, strength, conditioning. My goal is to increase the athlete's overall athletic ability, create a dominant throwing athlete, and develop a knowledge of the game that will allow the athlete to succeed to the best of his ability.

Client Reviews

Coach RJ is extremely organized and accomplishes alot in one hour. My 11 year old son is training at QB for my flag football team and learned alot in one session, I look forward to continuing on, and having him continue to learn the mechanics behind being a QB. UPDATE: We completed 6 sessions with Coach RJ and I have to say the difference in my son's mechanics is night and day to where he was 2 months ago. I strongly recommend RJ a coach and mentor for kids wanting to improve in football, he has really helped my son's confidence, and look forward to the upcoming season.

Coach RJ was very knowledgable and provided my son with a great workout both physically and mentally.

R.J. was great with his time and techniques in taking my son through our initial QB training session. He already worked through several items to work on to help him improve his fundamentals and mechanics that we haven't heard before. My son is looking forward to continued sessions with Coach R.J.

My son Alex really connected with Coach RJ. So far he has done 2 sessions, and is learning so much about the quarterback position. I highly recommend Coach RJ to any young quarterback that is looking to be the best that he could be.

We love coach RJ

Coach RJ did a great job with my son. My son has never played QB before and I wanted coach to teach him proper throwing technique and drills. He nailed it !!!

We made a great choice! I can see this is going in a good direction after just one session.

My son had a great first session with Coach R.J. He is an excellent QB coach and he worked well with my son.He taught him the proper technique of a QB, along with having him work on his footwork and doing passing drills. He showed my son what he needed to improve with his throwing. We look forward to having more training sessions with Coach R.J.

Excellent camp, great use of the 90 minutes in each session, good mix of individual position based training as well as QB/WR group drills. Hope this camp continues to exist in the future.
My son enjoyed the program. It was a good coach/athlete ratio. If lax wasn’t starting up, I’d sign him up for more clinics.
He enjoyed the number of reps he was able to get as a receiver. He liked when he was able to work with different quarterbacks.
My son is new to football so it was important for me to get him working with a Coach that could provide a foundation before the season began. RJ was able to make Aidan comfortable and provide him the tools necessary to have the most success possible during his first year of play. Under RJ's guidance, Aidan showed tremendous growth in just a few short months. I am very grateful.
R.J. has been a great leader and mentor to many children throughout his short but accomplished coaching career. He has developed three 1,000 yard passer all with a 60% or higher completion percentage. His teams have made four appearances in the state finals, winning two of them. Most recently his team finished ranked number 1 in the state. He has experience much success in his career, but his number one goal is not winning its helping his athletes get into the college of their choice.
