More About Coach Reagan
I began coaching as a high school lay coach in 2019. I coached middle and long-distance track, as well as cross country. Since then, I became an assistant coach at Kell High School in Marietta GA and privately coached athletes from ages 10 - 20, including two college athletes at high-level universities. I am now coaching cross country at Cartersville Middle School and continuing to private coach athletes of all ages.
I competed for Kennesaw State University at the Division 1 level after a successful high school career. Intermittent with injuries, I have high school personal bests of 2:16.01 in the 800m and 5:07.2 in the 1600m with region championship wins and state runner-up placements. My college career focused on relays and the 5k (18:21.1). From all-metro Atlanta awards to medaling at collegiate conference meets, I competed against some of the best runners in the nation.
The biggest focus of my training is form and efficiency. Beginning with a mobility-centered warm-up, athletes will go through a series of hurdle mobility drills, dynamic drills, and a 10-15 minute jog. I do strictly form/efficiency sessions as well as full training plans and practices.
Form sessions focus on wicket drills and video breakdown of form to see what element the runner needs to focus on. This could be knee drive, arm efficiency, foot strike, or hip utilization centered. These sessions are tailored strictly to the athletes form and needs.
Workouts may consist of fartleks, intervals, tempo runs, etc. that focus on the individual's anaerobic threshold to build VO2 max and pain tolerance. Recovery is taken seriously, with a long cool down, hip mobility work, rolling, and stretching.

Coach Reagan is amazing! She worked with our MS daughter and helped transform her from a good runner to an XC State Champion in just a few months. She is excellent at all facets of training - technical, strategy, mental and more. She was able to instantly connect with our daughter and get the most out of her at every session. I would highly recommend Reagan to anyone!

Coach Reagan has helped our son make great strides in his form, mobility, and race strategy. He loves working out with her, and his team coaches have been having him demonstrate correct running form to the rest of the team at practice. He's come a very long way in just a few months.

Ben - XC 2023 (Testimonial)
Working with Coach Reagan was one of the best decisions I have ever made! She has been amazing, and I credit my success to her help.
Brandon - 800m, 1600m (Testimonial)
"I was originally planning on doing my own summer training going into college to try to walk on at a D1 school. But with Poteet’s help and running experience I was able to make huge improvements to my running in less than 2 months. Reagan’s coaching plans helped keep me accountable and gave me very reachable goals to pursue each week, making me an overall better runner. My times dropped drastically." - September 2021
Sammi - College Athlete (Testimonial)
Poteet understood both my strengths and weaknesses, in terms of running and my mindset, and helped me effectively focus on what I needed to improve on by making a very individualistic plan that catered to both needs. This, over the span of a short amount of time, allowed me to gain not only strength and speed, but also confidence in my abilities, which in turn helped me perform better when it came to racing." - August 2021
