More About Coach R.J

I possess 6 Years (2010-2016) of Offensive Line coaching experience on the High School level in North Texas. I have coached on both the team, position group, and individual levels. I am comfortable coaching any age group or skill level.

NCAA - Division 1 @ Brigham Young University (2004-2009)
- 3 year starter as an offensive lineman
- Played and started for every position on the offensive line
- Received MWC honorable mention 3 times
- Named to MWC all freshmen team
- Academic All-American honorable mention twice

Highschool - Kamehameha School (Hawaii)
- 4 Year starter as left tackle on the offensive line
- All state first team selection twice (Junior & Senior Seasons)
- 2nd highest ranked football recruit in Hawaii (c/o 2003)
- Received scholarship offers from the following Universities: Oregon, Washington, Hawaii, BYU, Utah, Alabama, Colorado, UNLV.

For private sessions I have a very customized approach. With direction from the athlete and parents, as well as an initial assessment, I can create custom tailored workouts aimed at improving the athletes strengths as well as targeting and removing weaknesses.

The following are areas of focus in improving offensive line play: footwork, foot speed, handwork, hand speed, pad level, leverage, muscle memory, and recognition. While focusing on these areas, the athlete will better be able to both run and pass block effectively. And when muscle memory and recognition is achieved, the game will slow down and performance will greatly improve.
