More About Coach Q

I have trained extensively with all ages from 5-21. I have been fortunate to participate in many Skills Camps for athletes in high school and below, and have been able to transfer that experience into training fellow collegiate athletes as well.

Whether it's teaching the basics to kids trying to learn a fun new activity, or executing intense training sessions to truly improve skill, I can adapt to the needs and desires of each individual. This includes individual skill work like ball-handling and shooting, some strength and conditioning, as well as understanding the more advanced concepts of the game.

I also have experience coaching high school groups and some experience in teaching other sports, so I have seen many different levels of skill and mentality and can adapt well to them all.

I played 4 years of collegiate basketball at multiple levels as well as some experience playing in Portugal, so I have played with, and against, a high volume of talent.

During my career, I was able to accrue numerous accomplishments such as:
Led my conference in scoring,
Selected to All-Conference Team
First Conference Championship in school history,
Player of the Week honors,
Most wins in a single season in school history.

I am primarily a coach of individual skills, with a focus on the collegiate basketball mindset. The overall goal of my sessions is to simultaneously build the body and mind of an individual to a level that they are prepared for any situation.

By helping students understand how to see and approach the game, they establish confidence in their own skills that transfers to all in-game scenarios.

Specifics:
I tend to prioritize ball handling and attacking in gamelike situations. My secondary focus is on gamelike shooting, while intertwining some key strength and conditioning work that helps with consistency while fatigued.

I make sure sure to train an individual in all of the fundamental aspects so that when we move on to advanced techniques, it becomes that much easier to understand and emulate properly.

There are many ways to accomplish similar goals, and my job is to find the ways that work for your child. With that, any personal goals or preferences of the students are always welcomed and will be acknowledged.

Coach Quinn's positive outlook on working with my nine year old was validated by providing an outstanding initial assessment and skill building workout! I saw my son smile a couple of times even when he 'didn't make the shot' but was still being encouraged to 'do it again.' Coach Quinn works with the athlete where they are and is a hands on coach. My son is eager to practice more knowing he's gotten specific technique tips from "Coach Q." Looking forward to our next session.
