More About Coach Paul

This might be counterintuitive for many of my clients, but my tremendous ability to coach the game of baseball is directly related to the fact that I never had the "tools" or quality youth coaching to play the game at its highest levels.

I had to work hard, study and obsessively experiment with my game to become a First-Team All Conference player just at the Division-III level. I've had to be introspective and cerebral.

What I have to offer now is unsurpassed insight into not only the things a player should be doing, but many of the flaws that are holding our young players back from being the best they can be.

Because of my passion and deep baseball knowledge I have never spent time outside of the game. I have worked as a regional director of sales and marketing for a MLB-approved baseball bat company, an independent scout, a head varsity baseball coach, and of course a personal coach.

As a high school sophomore I started the last 18 games of the Varsity schedule and went on to start every game at that level until I graduated. My first year of college baseball I started every game and hit .355, helping my program reach the conference finals and post its best record in over 15 years. After transferring, I was a First-Team All Conference player as a senior.

Plans are implemented on a player-by-player basis.

There’s a mixture of demonstration, exercise, lecture, and with some players, experimentation.

Coach Paul is a perfect example of a coach that relates to his student. He spent ample time adjusting my grandson's swing and throw, as well as helping him to understand fielding the ball a bit better. Coach Paul was encouraging and gave instruction that was easy to understand for a 10 year old. With Covid keeping everything shut-down - this lesson was a great way to learn and 'practice' the mechanics the correct way. We have signed up for the next phase of 3 lessons with Coach Paul and we are looking forward to the next coaching instructions!!

Our son is loving his sessions with Coach Paul and looks forward to them weekly! Coach Paul is patient, fun, knowledgeable and kind and our son is already showing measurable improvement in overall skills. We greatly appreciate the work Paul is doing to help develop our son’s talents on the field.

We had our first coaching session for our 12 year old son yesterday, and we were very happy to have found coach Paul. He was great at helping him understand how little modifications will improve his batting overall. Looking forward to working him more and watching my son grow.

Great learning experience

Coach was timely, insightful, and led my son in a great hour of work. He came prepared. My son learned a lot and is excited to work with Coach again.

My son had his first session with Coach Paul tonight to work on his hitting. Coach Paul started the session discussing what my son was struggling with and immediately jumped into the session with new drills to practice. He was patient and took the time to explain the changes he asked my son to make and why they were important. It helped my son make the connections necessary to make the corrections. By the end of the session my son could already see a positive difference. We've already booked our next lesson!

I highly recommend coach Paul. We did a tune up in advance of our league playoffs. Our goal was to focus on batting, as this was the weakest part of my kid's game - age 13. Coach Paul took time in advance to discuss and understand our objectives for the session, and to explain his approach and philosophy. He also looked at video that we had accumulated over the season. Coach Paul came to the session with a well prepared game plan to address issues he was able to pinpoint from the video. Over the course of the session he made corrections that had an immediate impact and discussed longer term issues that need to be addressed. Perhaps most importantly, he quickly developed a mentoring type relationship that will serve any up and coming play well. Thanks Paul!

Great first lesson with Coach Paul today. We showed up a couple minutes early and he was already set up and ready to go. He focused on hitting for my 8 year and found some great kinks to fix and items to focus on. We will certainly book a second lesson.

Kids had a great lesson with Coach Paul. He came very prepared and gave me a detailed write up of their lesson with follow up points. You get your moneys worth and than some with Paul. Look forward to working with him in the future.

My 10-year old son had his first lesson with Coach Paul this week. The lesson was first rate from start to finish, and we could not have been happier. We wanted to focus on both hitting and pitching, and Coach Paul was extremely knowledgeable in both areas. While there are many coaches who are knowledgeable about different aspects of the game, Paul is a true teacher which is exactly what we were looking for, and which I believe separates him from many coaches. He has a great rapport with kids, and my son immediately felt comfortable working with Paul.

Coach Paul's knowledge of hitting is truly amazing. He is able to break down hitting in as much or as little detail as his students can handle. With my son, we talked about the issues with his swing and then addressed those issues with specific drills. My son took away from his lesson some great suggestions which he can now use as he works on his hitting in the cages.

Similarly, we spent a portion of the lesson on pitching, where Coach Paul was able to work on some specific issues that my son wanted to address. As a ten-year old, he is only throwing fast balls and change ups, and Coach Paul was able to help my son in both areas, again with the right level of detail for a ten-year old.

We will certainly have another lesson with Coach Paul soon. I cannot recommend him more highly to those looking for a coach.

I had not played baseball in 10 years before connecting with Coach Paul. He is patient, knowledgeable and has been really easy to work with as I get ready for the upcoming baseball season. I am looking forward to future sessions.

My son met with Coach Paul and the instruction was excellent. In just a short hour+, Paul showed my son some excellent techniques for fielding that he can incorporate into his game immediately. In fact, my son had a game later that day and I could see a difference on a couple different fielding plays. My son learned many things about catching he never even knew about. I think coach Paul is very thorough with his instruction and we will be signing up for additional sessions either this season or in early spring, or both.

Coach Paul was a true Professional he made my 10 year old nephew feel so comfortable with him as he instructed him. After one lesson I can see future lesson with Coach Paul in the future.

Just one session (so far) with my 10-year old, and he's shown great improvement. Paul worked with him well, offering immediate feedback on what to do, staying very positive, and boiling things down to a simple few to keep in mind. Definitely worth it!
