More About Coach Paris

I am a Certified Personal Trainer with a background in strength & conditioning for both athletes and the general population, including individuals returning to fitness or looking to improve everyday movement and overall health. Additionally, I am a Certified Personal Trainer, USAV IMPACT-certified, SafeSport certified, and Red Cross BLS CPR/AED certified.

I currently serve as Program Manager and coach at The St. James and Head Coach of a Volleyball Program at a local High School, where I integrate performance training into athlete development. I work with youth, high school, and collegiate athletes, while also training adults and seniors who want to move better, feel stronger, and stay active long-term.

My approach spans a full spectrum, from high-performance athletic development (speed, power, agility) to functional strength and movement quality for everyday life. Whether I’m working with an athlete or a your everyday woman/man, my goal is the same: build strength, improve movement mechanics, reduce injury risk, and create a body that performs well both in sport and in life.

I don’t create dependency, I build capability. My clients leave not only stronger, but equipped with the knowledge to train and take care of their bodies long after our sessions.

My athletic background spans multiple sports including volleyball, track, soccer, and swimming, along with experience in Army ROTC while in college, which strengthened my discipline and foundation in physical training.

I have worked closely with competitive athletes at the club and high school levels, including players advancing to collegiate volleyball. I’ve contributed to athlete development through structured programming, performance tracking, and strength & conditioning integration.

I’ve also been recognized for my leadership in coaching, program development, and athlete mentorship, helping athletes improve performance, confidence, and overall physical readiness.

A typical session with me is structured, intentional, and tailored to the individual in front of me - whether you’re an athlete, a parent, or someone getting [back] into fitness.

We begin with a dynamic warm-up focused on mobility, activation, and movement prep. I assess how you move that day, and adjust the session accordingly.

From there, sessions fall along a spectrum based on your goals:

For athletes:

• Strength development (squat, hinge, push, pull, core)
• Jump mechanics, landing control, and power output
• Speed, agility, and change of direction
• Sport-specific conditioning and performance transfer

For general fitness & everyday health:

• Functional strength (lifting, carrying, stability)
• Joint health, mobility, and injury prevention
• Core control and posture
• Building confidence in movement patterns for daily life

I prioritize technique and understanding, using coaching cues and questioning so clients develop body awareness and don’t just go through the motions.

We finish with conditioning, recovery, or education - so every session builds toward long-term progress, not just a workout. Beyond the physical work, my goal is to build your understanding not just your strength. I coach you through the “why,” so you can adjust, move efficiently, and take ownership of your training.

Whether you’re preparing for something big or building a foundation for everyday life, the goal is simple: progress that lasts, with or without me.
