More About Coach Owen

I am Owen Stephenson. I currently serve as defensive coordinator at Division 2 Caldwell University and 2034/35 coach for BBL North Stars. I also served as faceoff coach and defensive assistant coach for Jamaica at the 2025 World Lacrosse U20 Championship. I have three years of team coaching experience and I am a USA Lacrosse certified coach.

I played LSM at Division 2 Mercy University where I was team captain as well as 2025 ECC defensive player of the year, USILA second team All American, USA Lacrosse Magazine All American, USILA Scholar All American and first team all ECC.
Internationally, I have played FOGO, LSM, SSDM, and Defense for Jamaica in multiple world events. Most recently I was assistant captain at the 2024 World Lacrosse Box Championship. I was ranked ninth in faceoff percentage at the 2022 U21 world championship.

I want to tailor each session to the individual or small group. For all sessions we will start with a full body warm up. For defensive sessions we will run through an array of footwork and ground ball drills and finish with some shooting. For faceoff sessions, we will drill some smaller technique before getting into live reps. During the live reps I will review flaws, strategy, and opportunities.
