More About Coach Nick

I have coached/trained athletes for the last 6 years in a variety of settings and with many different levels of athletes. I have coached soccer players aged 10- 22 in both individual, small group, and team settings. Over the last 3 years I have been the Director of the Baltimore area for an individual and small group soccer training company called Pelota Training. Throughout my coaching experience, I have been fortunate enough to build relationships with many athletes and help them on their way to achieving their goals. In my soccer training experience, however, I observed a lack of strength, speed, and athletic development and increased injuries in many youth athletes and decided I wanted to make a change in a different way. Recently, I received my Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification to help athletes improve their athletic performance and hopefully build lifelong habits with strength and conditioning. In addition, I am also a 3rd year Doctorate of Physical Therapy student which allows me to have a great understanding of common sports injuries and injury reduction programs.
Finally, as a youth athlete, speed and strength was always something I struggled with when playing high level soccer and basketball. Because of this, I have diligently learned about the field of strength and conditioning and speed development to help improve my own abilities and am excited to pass this knowledge onto youth athletes.

Before college, I was a member of the PA Classics U16 and U18 US Developmental Academy teams where I was a constant starter at left centerback. While playing for these teams, I was recruited and earned a scholarship to play Division I Soccer at The University of New Hampshire. My 4 years at UNH produced the most wins out of any other 4 year period in program history. In these 4 years, we earned two NCAA tournament appearances, including one run to the Sweet 16. In addition, in my senior season we won the America East Conference Championship. I have also participated in a semi-professional league called the NPSL for two years for Seacoast United. For the 2017 season, I was the captain of this team.

Each session with athletes that I work with will be unique to the athlete I am working with based on the goals, availability, and season that an athlete is in.

The general framework for a session with me will include below 1-4 x per week:
1. Dynamic Warm Up
2. Plyometrics
3. Speed/Sprinting Work
4. Strength/ Power/ Core
5. Cool Down/ Stretching

An initial evaluation will occur virtually where I will discuss with the athlete their goals and training history. I will then develop a program for the athlete and based on the athletes desire and availability I can work with players in person to work on technique and explain exercises that may be confusing. Frequent brief check ins will occur virtually so that we can stay on top of technique and track progress.

We've only had a few practices with coach Nick and my son loves it. He is gaining confidence on the field and the training is fun for him.

Did an excellent job of providing verbal feedback so my son knew what to do better (as opposed to just giving him drills to run).

Coach Nick was an outstanding coach. My son loved the session. He felt that the drills translated to what he would need to do in an actual game.

Coach Nick was very patient and had some great drills to run through with our 14 year old son.

Nick thanks so much for taking your time out to work with Leanna. She really enjoyed the drills. You were patient with her. She can’t wait to work with you again

Coach Nick is a talented athlete who not only can demonstrate a variety of high-level soccer skills to his client, but he can teach his clients the building blocks to improving their own skill set. With Coach Nick you can learn beginner, intermediate or advanced soccer skills.

Coach Nick is also very organized, very kind and always on time.

He is a true 5-star coach!

Excellent coach - highly recommend!

Day one

Brett says you are really good. He really likes how you take the time to explain something when he has a question. He feels more confident after one session. I think so far this is a really good pairing and can’t wait to see where this will take him. I can’t wait until the next session and can’t wait to book more. Thanks again Nick.

Now

I could tell from the first session magic was going to happen. Nick has become so much more then a coach he has become a mentor. Each and every session my son wants more. More skill building more one on one coaching just more. Sure he can practice at home and he does a little but he wants to train. He wants nick to see the progress he is making. There have been sessions that have been absolutely freezing, times where the weather is perfect and times that my son has been exhausted. Nick has worked around that and Brett has come out stronger each and every time. There are things I can teach my son and there are things I can’t teach my son. Soccer is one. 😂. I’m thankful I found coach up and more thankful to find nick. Thank you. If you have goals nick will get you there.
