More About Coach Nick
I have been a strength and conditioning coach, full time, for the past 6 years. During this time I have worked with athletes from 8 years old through adult clients looking to get into better shape. I also work with athletes of all sports, ranging from football to ballet. I have spent a number of years working with individuals from the NFL, NBA, WNBA, and USATF in order to improve their strength and power production.
Prior to owning my own facility hear in New Orleans I managed a facility in Indianapolis, Indiana. This facility was home to the Indianapolis Colts, Indiana Pacers and Andretti Racing. We also worked with several hundred local high school athletes as they prepared for their seasons. I moved to New Orleans when I was asked to privately consult with New Orleans Pelicans players in their training programs.
I am currently certified as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist through National Strength and Conditioning Association. I am also certified as a Functional Movement Specialist through the Functional Movement curriculum.
I was a collegiate sprinter for the University of Indianapolis. While there I was team captain for two years. I held/hold numerous school, track and meet records. Upon graduation I was a 3x All-American in the 400 meter sprint.
A typical session will begin with a dynamic warm up, form running drills to improve movement efficiency and power output. Next we will move into our plyometric/jump training where we will focus on fast twitch muscle firing and improving quickness. Finally, we will focus on the strength training aspect of the session. During this time our goal is to increase strength and power output of the individual to inevitably increase their strength and speed on the competition field.

I find Coach Nick to be a great coach for a couple of reasons. He has good communication about scheduling his training sessions. His training sessions do not just involve 'doing'...he explains the technicality of good form and technique to my daughter about sprinting. He is firm and patient with her during the sessions.
