More About Coach Nathan
I'm a certified personal trainer through AFAA and have been training for a year. I played baseball for 15 years, I played 3 years at Mary G Montgomery high school as well as in a professional development league. Currently, I am interning at the Alabama Youth Sports Combine as well as working with the Mary G Montgomery High School football team. I attend Faulkner State CC, but will transfer to the University of South Alabama to study exercise science and nutrition.
My junior season of high school, I underwent shoulder surgery after a injury on the field. I worked through 6 months of physical therapy and lost 80 pounds, ultimately being able to play for my senior season. Although my career playing baseball was limited to 15 years and the High School level, my goal is to pursue a career in helping athletes excel to the next level and to the best performance of their ability.
My sessions consist of strength training using cables, free weights, resistance bands, and much more available equipment. I do high intensity cardio intervals using sport specific exercises. Coming out of shoulder surgery I understand how important flexibility and mobility is, so I train for injury prevention as well.
