Spent a year coaching HS at Cardinal Gibbons in Raleigh, NC before beginning my collegiate coaching career.
Before any session would ideally be able to watch film of the athlete to get a baseline understanding of where the athlete is in his/her development.
Then from there would start the focus on developing footwork, balance, and confidence in the basic skills that are at the core of any/all basketball action.
From there, based on skill set/general “position”/age/number of planned sessions, we would focus on key areas to improve on in order to achieve our short term goals.
