More About Coach Miles

I am currently part of the player development team for the WNBA Team the Los Angeles Sparks. This season I helped the team increase their wins YoY by 263%.

In college I worked part time as a strength and conditioning coach, assisting our head S&C by guiding and supporting athletes in the weight room, keeping a tidy environment, and creating a safe and engaging space to exercise in.

This year I have coached several teams across various age ranges for youth basketball (6 - 14) for clubs in East LA like PickUpUSA. I also am an inter scholastic coach at Marshall Fundamental School in Pasadena California working with several teams across multiple sports.

With personal training and nutrition coaching certifications, as well as experience playing college basketball, and coaching experience working with athletes at all levels, I’m confident in my ability to help any athlete improve their skills and have fun while doing it!

I was a three year varsity starter in high school. After high school I was recruited to play basketball at Denison University. In college I was a member of the varsity basketball team and worked part time in the strength and conditioning department learning about the science and data behind developing athletes.

Sessions will vary based on current skills, experience, and general athletic ability.

Youth sessions are designed to maximize ability and performance. With an emphasis on body control, proprioception, and balance. Workouts will combine basketball fundamentals with body weight strength and conditioning.

Older populations will have more skill specific programs dedicated to the current needs. Training sessions for those 12 and up will be programmed based on periodization. Pre-season, in season, post season, and off season. These workouts will combine skill specific work and customized strength and conditioning programs based on the athletes current phase within their period cycle.
