More About Coach Miles
I have experience coaching, training, and working with professional, collegiate, and youth athletes. I work in player development with the LA Sparks. I coached strength and conditioning at Denison University, working with 14 teams across 7 sports. I train youth basketball privately in group and 1-1 sessions.
I was a varsity basketball player at Denison University, where I also worked as a strength and conditioning assistant in the varsity weight room, helping train over 10 different teams. I currently compete/train as a practice player for the Los Angeles Sparks, where I train alongside WNBA athletes. My athletic development has been a consistent focus throughout my life, culminating in opportunities to refine my vertical jump, speed, and explosiveness while supporting elite-level athletes in a high-performance environment.
Sessions will vary based on current skills, experience, and general athletic ability.
Youth sessions are designed to maximize ability and performance. With an emphasis on body control, proprioception, and balance. Workouts will combine basketball fundamentals with body weight strength and conditioning.
Older populations will have more skill specific programs dedicated to the current needs. Training sessions for those 12 and up will be programmed based on periodization. Pre-season, in season, post season, and off season. These workouts will combine skill specific work and customized strength and conditioning programs based on the athletes current phase within their period cycle.
