More About Coach Mike

I have worked with pitchers of all ages. From little leaguers just starting out and learning the fundamentals of the game, to collegiate pitchers who are wanting to dive deeper into the intricacies of the game: from mechanics to arm care to the mental approach when facing certain hitters or up against certain in-game situations.

D1 NCAA baseball player with the Florida State Seminoles 2011-2016.
2013 Preseason All-American Third Team (Collegiate Baseball & NCBWA)
2012 All-ACC Second Team
2012 Freshman All-American First Team (Collegiate Baseball & NCBWA)
2012 Freshman All-American Second Team (Baseball America & Perfect Game)
Five-time ACC Academic Honor Roll
2012, 2014, 2015 All-ACC Academic Team
Spring 2013, Spring 2014 FSU President’s List
Six-time FSU Dean’s List
2015 Third Team Capital One Academic All-American
2014, 2015 First Team Capital One Academic All-District IV

Each pitcher is at a different stage in their baseball career. No pitcher is the same, my goal is not to change a pitcher but to help him understand how to enhance his strengths and improve upon his weaknesses. "Feel" and "Confidence" are the most important aspects when it comes to pitching. Feeling the difference between a bad pitch and a great pitch comes down to mechanics and being able to repeat deliveries over and over again. Ability to repeat deliveries leads to greater confidence and greater success.

During the hour session we will:
- Review the previous session's learnings
- Discuss what's been working, what hasn't been working
- Warm up (arm care routine)
- Drills isolating specific mechanics for all pitches
- If time permits, work off the mound in windup and stretch positions

I’ve taken my grandson to coaches before some we’re good and let’s just say not so good.I think coach Mike teaches on a level that my son can understand after two sessions there has been a dramatic change to the way he approaches the game. He is extremely patient and takes his time. Thanks Mike it’s wonderful to see in a young man when something clicks and he understands. If you’re looking for a pitching coach with the wealth of knowledge that he has and has fun doing it Coach Mike to me is the best, thanks coach!

Coach Mike is great coach and we took the lesson for my son (12 years old). Coach Mike gave my son for the pitching mechanics and break down to different sections and explained what each section does and how to fix when my son loose the mechanics for each section. And coach Mike has good personality and could talk to my son at the same level of word which my son could understand. One more thing that my son was saying when my son did catch ball with coach Mike, it was hurt and I said it's because this is the real catch ball and the ball coach Mike through is with good spin. So I said this is the professional quality of the ball. We really appreciated this coach Mike's lesson and will definitely come back again. Thanks!

Mike is very passionate and professional coach. My skill is greatly improved with his coaching. I will keep working with him, and am really excited to learn more about pitching from Mike!

My 9 year old son had a great time with Coach Mike's introductory lesson. Mike was very patient talking through the mechanics of pitching and showing him drills to isolate different areas of the body throughout the pitching process. Will definitely continue lessons!
What I appreciated most about Coach Mike was his ability to break down complex pitching techniques into simple steps that were easy to understand and apply. He also provided me with specific drills and exercises that helped me improve my strength, accuracy, and overall pitching skills.
That was great! I really appreciate how comfortable you were with my son and your approach. Thanks again!
