More About Coach Miguel

I have a Masters Degree in Sports Management Coaching and Theory. I have coached youth , junior high & High School football. I am willing to work with any kid that is interested in learning more about the game of football. I will teach the child or teenager the different techniques of their position, I will also put them through work outs that will make them stronger, faster and more knowledgeable of the game of football. During my time as a coach I have coached High School Defensive Backs and Wide Receivers at Cibola High School in Arizona, I was also the Defensive Coordinator for the Junior High School were I was in charge of Linebackers and Tight Ends. In High School I was a Quarterback and Won Multiple Awards.

Professional Indoor Football West Michigan Thunder Hawks, Semi-Pro Football Grand Rapids Thunder, USMC Football , High School Football. Won Offensive MVP Junior and Senior year, Won Citizens National Bank Player of the year 10 times my senior year, also won the Citizens National Bank Player of the Year as well. I was an all-star for 4 straight years when playing for the United States Marines Football team. Won Defensive Back of the year while playing for the Marines.

I will make sure that your athlete is focused on the game of football and learning the different techniques that they will need to improve there skills at the position that they are playing. I will make sure that my session are taught in a specific way so that your athlete will get the most of what they are trying to accomplish. The will gain and maintain knowledge of the game of football as well as what is happening around them. I will teach them man vs man coverage skills and route running. I will teach them zone reading skills and how to run route to beat the zone. I will also have conditioning session that will make sure that your athlete is in the best possible shape they can be in before the season starts.

Since this was our first time using a private coach for my 8 yr old, we didnt know what to expect. My wife and I were completely impressed by "coach rivas". He was patient with my son and very knowledgeable of many positions for football. He had several training tools that he brought.. Ladder, sled, cones, running chute and etc. We will definitely be using him again and often. My son keeps asking when he can work with him again. Lol. Thanks.

Coach Miguel R. did a great job working with my grandson who wants to make his high school football team. His training approach showed the knowledge he has of the game. He was able to quickly get him to engage in the drills to improve his ability and gained his confidence on what was being taught. He is looking forward to his next session and is working on what he learned to be prepared. Everyone was very happy with Coach Miguel.
