“Teacher and therapist by education; athlete by choice. I have always been an active person, and found my passion on the roads running short and long distance races. My coaching style is focused solely on your goals as a runner, do you want to get faster? Do you want to run a marathon? Do you just want to take up running and join one of the best and non-judgmental athletic communities but don’t know where to start? Let me help you! I am a multi-marathoner; have completed dozens of 5k and other distance races, am a member of my local running club and assist in promoting my sport in any and all ways possible.
We will always start and end with dynamic stretching and cool downs as well as discussion and evaluation of your goals. We will work on speed, endurance, hills and internal training all based on your skill level, specific goals and training. Together we will have a plan of action; you are the player. When the time comes we will simulate race day evaluate the results and map out a race day plan; if a client wishes I will run the race with them. Coaching can do more than just make you a better athlete, coworker, and parent; it can motivate and push you to do things that are just outside of your comfort zone. Coaching will build mental toughness and can take you places you wouldn’t expect. I am confident that working together we will make you a better athlete and a better person and make no mistake, you will be pushed. I expect nothing but 100% from my client’s all the time and I hope that you expect the same from me. In any given 1:1 session you will find a period of warm up and cool down dynamic in nature but for the bulk of the session you will be working on specific goal directed practice. What does that mean? Well, it depends on what we are training for. Your plan will have direct input from you. Intervals, hills and distance will be a focus but keeping each session fun and fresh is important to keep you motivated and interested while still making progress. Coach to 5k? Want a 10k PR? How about that bucket list goal of marathon? It's all possible with the right plan.

Michelle has met with my 9 year old several times now. He has been in karate for 7 years and needs to run a mile in less than 9 minutes to get his black belt. Michelle has been instrumental to his dream, by motivating him to push past the mental limits he has and dig deep even when he is only "practicing." He has now broken his own record, and is well on his way to achieving his dream of being one of the youngest black belts in the state. She makes him forget about the fears and ignore the cant's.
