More About Coach Michela
I have been actively coaching and training since the summer of 2020 after earning my Biology degree. I began as an assistant coach for a boys 16U AAU team under the FOE organization. From there I transitioned into skills development with GrindCircuit Training. I’ve been with the program for over a year now and it’s grown tremendously. We work with kids ages 6-18 in group skills, 1 on 1 training, and seasonal camps/showcases. I am currently Head Coach for Prestonwood Christian Academy JV Girls and Varsity Assistant. I was blessed with the opportunity to play at 2 private universities. I played 2 years (2016-18) at Oklahoma Wesleyan University and 1 year (2018-2019) at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor for a 27-4 season, ending at the national tournament.
I think it’s important to spend time developing every skill on both sides of the floor. I focus on ball handling, passing, layups, shooting technique, and defense. I also dive into footwork, agility, and conditioning.
