More About Coach Michael

I have been coaching football, basketball, track and teaching physical education for the past 10 years in Fort bend Independent School District. I have had the pleasure of training athletes the range in age from elementary age students to college level athletes.

I have my most experience working with middle school aged students/athletes that is where I have the bulk of my teaching experience.

I have been involved in sports my entire life. I played both the football and track in high school where I attended James Madison High school in Houston Texas earning all district honors as a senior defensive back. I went on to play college at Texas Southern University as a defensive back where I competed for 4 years on the football field and also earned a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and a Masters in Education Administration

First, I like to consult with the client and see what his or her goals are a the design a workout plan that will help them to reach these goals. The actual workout would first consist of a warm up and stretching exercises for about 10 minutes then we would go into the actual workout phase which would be about 30-40 minutes long. While this part of the workout is going on I will also be talking with the athlete letting them know what this particular drill is working on and giving them feedback on how they are doing. Lastly, there is a cool down exercise the last about 10 minutes followed by a brief debriefing with the athlete.

My son really enjoyed working with coach Michael, he said coach Michael showed him footwork drills he had never seen before!

I just wanted a couple of pointers about throwing technique, and Coach Michael gave me some good pointers. He's a good one-on-one coach for adults, too.
