More About Coach Micah
As a coach, I have been involved at the club and collegiate level the past 3 years. I was a goalkeeper coach with Tennessee Soccer club and also at TNU Men’s and Women’s (NCAA D2) in Nashville. The past year I was an assistant with Georgia Southern Women’s Soccer (NCAA D1) where I worked with goalkeeper’s and also worked with the defenders.
I was a 4 year starter collegiately at Lipscomb University (NCAA D1). Since then I am entering my 4th year of professional soccer. I have spent 3 years in the USL with Tormenta FC, Nashville SC, and Louisville City FC where I won the USL Cup in 2017. This season I joined Stumptown Athletic in Charlotte until the Covid outbreak.
After evaluating the player to get an assessment of their strengths and weaknesses, I will put them through drills focusing on agility, passing, technique, using both feet, first touch, striking, finishing, defending, and heading. I also work with Goalkeeper’s and will make sure they can use their hands as well as their feet. My sessions are typically one hour long, and will feature 4-6 different activities they will rotate through.
