More About Coach Meredith

I have been a Track and Cross Country since 2014. I started out coaching at the high school level (Cross country and track and field) and I now coach collegiate locally. In addition, I also have coached several friends and family members in races from 5k- Marathon distance. High school level is the youngest I have coached and I have coached many adults. I am both USATF Level 1 certified and also have my USTFCCCA Track and Field Technical Certification as well. I am a collegiate coach so I cannot coach high school athletes per NCAA rules.

My running career didn't begin until late in high school because I had previously been a soccer player. I started track and got hooked! I was recruited to run both Cross Country and Track at The College of Wooster where I competed all four years. I came in as a mid-distance athlete and ended up specializing in 5K and 10K. While I was at Wooster I earned All Conference Honors in Cross Country, The Distance Medley Relay, and the 10K. Post Wooster I spent a year competing for Greater Boston Track Club. I moved to Cleveland to pursue my Master's Degree and also competed for Cleveland Elite Development where I ran my half marathon PR of 1:25. I still compete actively today when I am not too busy coaching.

Each client can expect a well thought out training plan that is tailored to their specific goals and needs as an athlete. This means structure. Depending on their ability level I can determine which days should be hard workout days, long run days, recovery days, etc. A client can expect to meet with me, review how they are feeling, get a proper warm up in and then begin the workout or session. Each individual has different needs and I would assess them on a day to day or week to week basis as needed.

I made a commitment to run a full marathon and was in search of a training plan that I could adjust due to being a full time wife, mother, and employee.
