More About Coach Mister

I am a retired basketball player myself. So I know first hand what it takes to get to the next level. Given my experience as a player, I know the ins and outs of the game and the work that needs to be put in, in order to be successful in the sport of basketball. I’ve also trained my daughter, who Is the only 5 star recruit In the region and on a full ride scholarship to Stanford University. I’ve been training/ coaching for over 20yrs, ages ranging from 5yrs old up to college level. I’m currently training/ coaching at the Hoop Lab in Roseville Ca

I played D1 college basketball for four years. I was named player of the year in college, multiple MVP awards, defensive player awards. I went on to play Basketball Overseas Professionally.

When working with a new trainee, I like to do a series of drills to get an idea of their current skill level. After assessing their skill set, I am then able to figure out what it is that they specifically need to improve on. Every kid is different, so I work to develop their individual game in a way that best suits each athlete. My training is fueled by my passion and love for the game. I focus on developing my athletes into versatile players with high IQs. My specialty is shooting, but we focus on all aspects of the game. My biggest objective is to give my players the confidence and skill set they need in order to succeed. Everyone who trains with me is guaranteed to level up, significantly.

My 12-year-old daughter has been working with Mister for the last couple of months and it’s been excellent. Mister is a high-quality trainer who really knows the game and clearly communicates corrections so my daughter understands, fine-tuning her game in ways other trainers have never been able to. His communication is always uplifting, but still pushing her to her potential and helping her have awareness about self correction. Unlike other trainers Mister also focuses on confidence and incorporating skills learned into real time gameplay which is vital to player development. He shows up with a plan and he’s totally plugged in on training the whole time. The drills he runs have a purpose and seemed to be tailored to my daughters needs. He specializes in shooting and although my daughter has a solid shooting foundation she struggled with consistency and he’s helped her not only mechanically but mentally so she can hear “the spot“ every time. Training with Mister is money and time well spent. I have no doubt he can help athletes, willing to put in the work, get to the next level.
OMG sports provides attention to detail, extremely positive attitude and encouragement to the trainees. Excellent training tips for players who want to play at the next level and last but not least a high level of shooting improvements for more accurate shots and knowing when and how to get their shot off. 5 stars
