More About Coach Megan

**Please note that I am a women's lacrosse coach and coach female players only**

I focus on fundamentals and build a player's skills on that foundation. Holding multiple unbroken records in high school and college lacrosse, I understand the particular needs of the scholastic and collegiate player -- and what it takes to perform at that level.

I have been coaching for over 10 years. I started with Chicago Youth Lacrosse teaching fundamentals to players aged 3 to 18. After 6 years as a part of the Varsity head coaching staff at Marist School in Atlanta, I joined Eagle Stix. Athletes I've coached have made elite teams on Eagle Stix as well as Hotlanta Lacrosse. My players have made first and second team All-State. I also work with Buckhead Girls Lacrosse as their Athletic Director.

As an active member of US Lacrosse, I stay informed and attend coaching education courses about all the newest coaching techniques and best practices and drills.

I have been playing lacrosse since I was 6 years old. Highlights include:

• High School All-American Lacrosse Player
• 4 years of Division III Lacrosse at Mount Holyoke College
• MHC records still held: Goals Scored In A Season, Game-Winning Goals, Free-Position Goals. Top three players in: Points Per Game, Draw Controls Per Game.
• MHC Lacrosse MVP Sophomore and Senior years
• MHC Lacrosse Captain Senior year
• Multiple NEWMAC (New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference) Player of the Week distinctions in both offense and defense
• Named to NEWMAC honorary second team (2x) and first team (1x)
• New England All-Star team attacker Senior year
• 3 years of Division III Field Hockey at Mount Holyoke College

Fundamentals are the key to success. I will teach you everything from the most basic techniques of how to cradle, through taking the draw, and scoring game-winning goals.

When we start a lesson, we'll do some basic drills so I can evaluate your game. Confidence is key, so we'll talk about where you feel strongest and where you want to build. From there, I develop a custom program for each player designed to put your skills over the top.

I always start with the fundamentals. If those are sound, we can build high. We will drill both physical fitness as well as stick skills -- lacrosse is a fast-paced sport in which greatness requires conditioning. I take a holistic approach to the whole player. I always talk to my players before a session about their goals, what they want from their lesson/package, and how I can help achieve them. Whatever specific skill that needs work (shooting, mastering your left hand, defensive positioning, attacking the cage, and more), I cover every angle of each skill and its related skills.

Get to know me and what I can do for your game in a single lesson, offered at a discount for new clients who contact me directly and mention a trial session. Most of my clients use packages to go from zero experience to varsity lacrosse player. Purchase a package of lessons and get a discount per lesson, plus stick work fundamentals understanding of field play, and readiness for tryouts. If you need a brush up on fundamentals or have a specific skill you need to master, I suggest at least a 3 lesson package and we can work to noticeably improve your skills and confidence on the field. Please contact me if you'd like to discuss which options is best for your needs and goals. I also take group and buddy lessons at a discount. Contact me directly for any inquiries on team clinics.

Coach Megan is awesome. She is the most patient hands on coach my daughter has ever had. I truly believe she will have my daughter ready for her college debut.

Coach Megan was fantastic with my daughter! She evaluated her skill set and adjusted the session to help focus improving catching and dodging. My daughter clicked with Coach Megan and really enjoyed the session. We will continue to have Coach train our daughter!

Coach Megan was excellent she really took the time to go step by step with me.

Great first session! After one lesson, Coach Megan did a great job helping my daughter begin developing the confidence she needs to become a much better player.

Coach Megan is an amazing instructor. She was able to very quickly identify errors in my daughter's fundamental skills, very clearly explain them to her, and correct them. All of her instruction was helpful, encouraging and supportive. Her advice was explained so well that now at home my daughter is able to remember and keep working on making those skills a natural part of her play. I am amazed at how In just one hour she was able to improve so many aspects of my daughter's basic skills. I know all of the work done will translate into a greatly improved performance. Coach Megan has my highest recommendation.
My daughter was brand new to lacrosse and we needed a coach to help her make her high school team. When looking for a lacrosse coach for my daughter, I look for experience. Just because someone has played the game doesn't mean they know how to teach or to be a good coach. Megan has the college playing experience as well as the coaching background I wanted. Megan has absolutely been the right coach. Not only did Megan teach my daughter the skills needed to make the team, but Megan has been instrumental helping my daughter progress enough to earn significant playing time as a first year player. She could have never done that without Megan. My daughter has told me several time how much she's learned from coach Megan.
I worked with Coach Megan when she was with Chicago Youth Lacrosse. Coach always helped break down skills so I could easily understand what I need to do. She helped me improve my shooting and ball handling so I could achieve my goal and make my school's varsity team.
